FT: BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-3 BAYERN MUNICH

The first trophy of the season goes to Bayern Munich, and Julian Nagelsmann has his first piece of silverware as manager of the Bavarian giants.

Bayern went into the break 1-0 up before Thomas Muller scored early into the second half.

Marco Reus made it 2-1 with a brilliant effort, and at that point it was game on.

But Manuel Akanji gifted Bayern a third after his pass was charged down by Corentin Tolisso and fell to the feet of Robert Lewandowski.

He had all the time in the world to compose himself and make it 3-1, effectively sealing the game with 15 minutes to play.

Neither side were really at their best and there were sloppy errors from both sets of players with early season rust probably to blame.

It's Bayern Munich who come out on top though, and they win the 2021 German Super Cup.
