Fans raged over Billy Porter's live TV blunder

DWTS fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, called out the show for the massive live television blunder.

One said: "I don’t like that s**t! Y’all mess up on @billyporter_‘s opening with that f’ed up microphone! Get that s**t fixed!"

Another said: "Good on all the pros for not even reacting and continuing on during all the tech issues."

A third said: "A disaster opening for #dwts   in remembrance of Whitney Houston."

Someone said: "Uhm whoever is in charge of the audio is getting fired tonight."

A fifth said: "Okay how DARE they mess up Billy Porter’s intro song audio when he looks that fabulous?"

The show must go on for Billy Porter

Like a true artist, Billy didn't miss a beat and neither did any of the dancers as they waited for the music to get back on track.

Toward the end of the performance, all of the stars and their partners were introduced as well as the show's two hosts Julianne Hough, 35, and Alfonso Ribeiro, 52.

Both of the hosts took part in the group dance during the performance, and thankfully by the end, the microphone stopped cutting out.

Billy, or "the male Whitney Houston" as Julianne called him, was then revealed to be the guest judge for the night's Whitney Houston-themed show.

He looked slightly upset and angry while sitting behind the judge's panel, but he soon found his smile.

Billy Porter kicked off last night's show

Actor and performer Billy Porter, 54, dazzled DWTS fans at the beginning of last night's show with his fabulous singing voice.

He started the show with an impressive rendition of How Do I Know by the late great Whitney Houston.

Billy was strutting his stuff with a few backup dancers during his flawless live performance.

At one point, he was lifted into the air while still singing the technically difficult song.

Not long into his performance, the music and his microphone started cutting out and the music started skipping.
