The network is shaking up its entire morning schedule as it continues to struggle with poor ratings.
A few hours after the cancellation was announced, Lemon shared a tweet about "blessings in disguise."
"Starting off this 5th day of #BlackHistoryMonth by gearing up for #TheDonLemonShow & thanking God & the ancestors for blessings in disguise," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Wishing you a prosperous day as well. How y'all doing?"

Poppy Harlow, Lemon's former CNN This Morning co-host, and Phil Mattingly are leaving the network's morning line-up.
Meanwhile, Kasie Hunt's early morning show, Early Start, will take on an extra hour and use the CNN This Morning title, per Variety.
CNN News Center, which is hosted by John Berman, Kate Bolduan, and Sara Sidner, will move from 7 am to 10 am.
CNN CEO Mark Thompson wrote in a note to staffers on Monday that, "we will no longer produce morning programming in New York and will be disbanding the team that currently produces CNN This Morning in that city. Our New York-based primetime and weekend programming will continue."

New roles will be found for Harlow and Mattingly, Thompson added.
SHOCK FIRING
Lemon was fired from CNN in April 2023, hours after appearing on CNN This Morning.
CNN's Don Lemon cuts off co-host Kaitlan Collins in awkward moment amid rumors of rising tension on This Morning show"I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned," he said in a statement at the time.
Lemon slammed the network for not telling him directly that he was fired after working there for 17 years.
"At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.
"With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best."
CNN denied Lemon's claims that he was blindsided, calling them "inaccurate."
"Don Lemon's statement about this morning's events is inaccurate," the television network said.
"He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter."
NEW HORIZONS
Last month, Lemon announced his first project with his new media company since his firing.
Lemon announced his new TV show, The Don Lemon Show, on X.
"I've heard you... and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!
"My new media company's first is The Don Lemon Show."
Lemon added, "It will be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it, steaming on the platforms where the conversations are happening.
"And you'll find it first on X, the biggest space for free speech in the world.
"I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors.
"This is just the beginning so stay tuned."
X owner Elon Musk called the news exciting and welcomed Lemon to the platform: "Don Lemon show coming to X!"
