In this post, she showed how to knock a few years off by following her simple tips.
“The most aging makeup mistakes," she said. Using her face as a canvas, she demonstrated the difference her hacks could make.
1. TINTED SUNCREAM
Her first tip was an easy one, go for tinted sunscreen versus a white sunscreen.

"It's going to give you a little bit of extra coverage, and help even out discoloration," she said.
2. BLUSHER PLACEMENT - NO
Do not, she said, apply blush directly to the face, and don't do it while smiling.
“When you do this it seems great because it’s right at the fullest point," she said.
“But when you’re not smiling anymore it pulls back down."

It is much better, she said, to use your hand as a palette.
“We're going to work off the back of our hand," she wrote.
4. TWO-FINGER RULE
Her next tip was described as "genius" by one commenter - the two-finger rule.
"Take two fingers and place them right beside your nose," she wrote.
"This is your magic area. And the best way to naturally diffuse blush is by going in a circular shape all along the fullest part of the cheek."

5. USE THE RIGHT BLUSH BRUSH
If they're not the right size, replace them now, she said.
“You don’t apply powder blushes with really dense brushes," she added.
"You’ve got no real control over the product and it tends to deposit too much pigment in too small of an area. Leaving you with a weird kind of mismatched look instead," she added.
She had an easy solution - size down on the brush scale.
“Pick a smaller fluffier brush that you can actually run your fingers through and then lightly tap it into your skin," she said.
Kate explained the effect on your skin if you use a chunky brush, and it wasn't pretty.
“We’ve got texture, we've got fine lines, and we got wrinkles there.
"A powder highlighter is just going to emphasize all of that," she said.

6. CREAM HIGHLIGHTER - WHAT TYPE?
“Opt for a cream highlight that doesn’t have any glitter," she said.
"Think luminescent versus shimmer."
Commenters were grateful for the tips.
“Thank you so much for showing us the correct way to apply makeup. I wish I had known all our tips years ago. I’m 72 now and have learned so much from you," wrote one viewer.
“I really appreciate your makeup tips for mature women. These have helped my appearance greatly,” said another.
