"We have been camping in the back of our RAV4 for six years now," the Instagrammer (@Jaceywest) said in a video.

"For the first couple of years we had to sleep in the back."

The creator said that she and her traveling partner originally used extra blankets to remain warm during the nights.

But they have made recent investments to make the car more cozy.

"Last year, I majorly upgraded our car camping game with the ExPad Mega Mat sleeping pad," they said.

"It fits perfectly in the back of our RAV4, and we also use it in out tent."

The U.S. Sun found several Amazon listings for the blow-up mattresses for under $300.

The drivers also said they bought window dressings for the car.

They said the new window screens "let the air flow in, keep the bugs out, and give us a little bit of privacy."

The U.S. Sun found the screens online for less than $60.

"We have gone on so many amazing and affordable adventures over the years," the Instagrammer said.

"Use what you have, upgrade when needed, and get out there!"

WINTER WARN

Experts have warned drivers about the potential health perils of sleeping in a car while the winter months drop temperatures.

Cars are engineered to optimize air flow from outside the vehicle.

Vehicles are not built to insulate heat inside the car, especially when cars are parked.

Drivers who choose to sleep in their car are at higher risk of cold-weather-related injuries, like hypothermia or frostbite.

Dozens of other TikTokers have given product tips to people interested in car sleeping.

Most expert car-sleepers use heaters and retrofitted insulation to keep warmth inside the car.
