I wanted to jazz up my decade-old Marilyn Monroe tatt - what happened left me so upset, you can’t even tell what it is

A WOMAN has been left mortified after her tattoo touch-up went terribly wrong. 

Breanna, who is a weight loss coach, took to her social media account to recount exactly what happened and ask for people’s advice on the matter.

Over the clip, she wrote: “SOS: I was BOTCHED!”

Dressed in a black vest top with matching shorts alongside a grey jumper, she shared: “For anybody who has gotten a tattoo… Let me just start there. 

“I need your opinion, okay? I’m going to insert the before.” 

She then showed what her tattoo of Marilyn Monroe looked like before she went in for her appointment to get a refresh. 

The picture showed her thigh with the outline of Marilyn’s face on it. She featured long eyelashes and her signature red lips, which had faded over time. 

She continued: “Now, I liked her, all I wanted was a touch up. All I wanted was the lines cleaned up a little bit, her lips never took right so I wanted that touched up. 

“We’re talking over 10 years ago so it’s time to touch Marilyn up.” 

Breanna explained that she’s not “into tattoos” any longer and only maintains the ones she does have.

“So, beautiful Marilyn Monroe on my leg, you could tell it was Marilyn Monroe obviously,” she went on. “But so I went in for a touch up…” 

She then stood up and moved back before lifting her shorts up a little to show off her updated ink, which showed a faint black hue over Marilyn’s face. 

Breanna then questioned: “Who is that? Anybody know who that is? I mean seriously, I don’t know who that is.

“My question is to you… It’s been a good 10 years since I’ve gotten a tattoo. Is this just the new thing? Do we just make them look like that?

“I say this with the utmost respect, but I feel like she has been made into an African American Marilyn Monroe, which is totally fine. I think that’s awesome if anybody wanted to do that… I did not. 

“Not anything personal, I just wanted the lines nicer, the fading fixed up a little bit, the lips cherry red. I liked that it was a floating portrait.

“Very simple, very subtle portrait that you could tell who it was. 

“What do I even do with that?”

TikTok user @weightlosscoachbre then explained that after getting a few opinions, Breanna believes she’ll have to get the entire tattoo covered with a new coloured design. 

“I don’t even want tattoos, I just wanted to fix the one up that I had,” she added. “What do I do?” 

People flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts as one person wrote: “I’m so sorry that happened, definitely not what they’re doing now.”
