Then on Valentine's Day, Gilgeous-Alexander announced his under-the-radar wedding to long-term girlfriend Hailey Summers.
The NBA star posted a photo on Instagram of a frame saying, "Just married. Shai and Hailey. February 14, 2024."
There were no other images or comments on the couple's happy day.
Gilgeous-Alexander will now look to finish off his epic week on a high note when he makes his first start in the NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on Sunday.

The lowkey wedding announcement is symbolic of how Gilgeous-Alexander and Summers have kept their private lives largely under wraps since dating.
The couple, who both hail from Canada, have been together since 2017.
Summers is also an athlete, having played NCAA soccer at the University of Albany from 2017 to 2021, the last two years of which she served as team captain.
Summers, who has over 43,000 followers on social media, majored in psychology.

The couple regularly post photos of each other on Instagram, with Gilgeous-Alexander commenting how much he loves her "FOREVER & ALWAYS."

In December 2023, the couple was forced to abandon their $6 million dream house on the Lake Ontario waterfront.
Unbeknownst to the pair, their luxury six-bedroom and eight-bathroom home had a somewhat dark past.
The home used to belong to self-declared "crypto king" Aiden Pleterski, who allegedly swindled millions of dollars from investors.
Angry investors reportedly regularly showed up to the house to demand money from Pleterski, who, according to The New York Times, was kidnapped and held for ransom.
The Times reported that Gilgeous-Alexander and Summers have not returned to the house since May 2023 after a "menacing visitor" showed up looking for Pleterski.
It's claimed SGA and his other half were completely oblivious to the history of the threats against the house before purchasing it.
