BUGATTI has unveiled a 'one of one' model of a Chiron, taking inspiration from the marque's most expensive car ever sold.
20 years ago, an extremely wealthy woman fell in love with a Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, which was homed in several museums and the owner of a 'Best of Show' award from the esteemed Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The Type 57 SC has been on the auction block a few times, having been sold for $30 million in the past - making it the most expensive Bugatti ever sold.
It was the renowned as the most expensive vehicle ever sold until 2023, when a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sold for $51.2 million at an R.M. Sotheby's auction in New York.
She first laid eyes on the Type 57 SC when she went to Molsheim to have her own Chiron Super Sport configured as a 70th birthday present to herself.
Only three examples of the 1930s work of art are left, with one being at the Mullin Automotive Museum, where the Chiron Super Sport's owner first saw it and quickly decided to design her new hypercar after its predecessor.

Taking inspiration from the light blue coloring, the wheels and exciting curves, she paid Bugatti to customize a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport - a hypercar with a top speed of nearly 300 mph and has 10 radiators - to take after it.
Vertical slats were added to the grille to complete the look, and matched the color perfectly.
Inside the posh leather interior, there are beautiful hand-stitched silhouettes of the Type 57 SC on both the passenger and driver's door, with the iconic blue - called Jascha Straub - stitching to complement the light brown leather.
On the headrest is a stitched homage to Rembrandt Bugatti's dancing elephant sculpture, to honor the origin and history of the iconic French automaker.

The Chiron Super Sport still holds the title as the world's fastest production car with a top speed of 273 mph, hitting 200 mph from zero in just 15 seconds.
The incredible power comes from an 8.0 16-cylinder engine that churns up 1,578 horsepower, capable of rocketing to 60 mph from a dead stop in an eyewatering 2.2 seconds.
Aptly named the '57 One of One,' this woman's Chiron Super Sport is the only one of its kind - making the already expensive hypercar worth even more to collectors.
No exact pricing was revealed for the Chiron Super Sport taking design cues from its past, but with a normal price tag of almost $4 million, it's likely far north of that figure.
"The result is a breath-taking new chapter in the legend of the Type 57 SC Atlantic; authentic, beautiful and formed in the spirit of Jean Bugatti's original," remarked Hendrik Malinowski, managing director at Bugatti Automobiles.
"The Type 57 SC Atlantic will always be an icon and this latest homage can proudly sit alongside it on the concours lawns of the future."
