When a planet goes retrograde, what's happening is that it's spinning so fast that it appears to be spinning backwards.

Astrology believes the change in the gravitational pull affects us in different ways, and that Mercury can wreak havoc on communications, technology, travel and even the brain.

Because this retrograde happens in Scorpio, it’s  intense and may touch on our closest relationships and deepest sense of self, as well as triggering endings and beginnings.
