Although there are a few things that children struggle as they become older, putting shoes on the right foot is amongst the trickiest tasks.

Luckily, one savvy parent has taken the internet by storm after uploading an easy trick to help frustrated mums and dads around the world.

In a clip, which has since gone viral, racking up more than a whopping 2.5 million views, the TikTok account Crafty Moms (@craftymoms) showed fellow parents what to when your child finds it a mission to put shoes on properly.

''Are your children having trouble putting on shoes and stickers don't work?

''Then you need to try this,'' the whizz said.

When trying to teach their offsprings independence, many will resort to using stickers.

They'll be cut in two, with the right half on the right shoe and the left one stuck on the left one.

The idea is that when putting the pair of shoes together - whether it's sandals, boots or trainers - the halves will form an image and the kid will be able to figure out which side goes on which foot.

Although it does work for some, there is a way which might the task even easier.

To kickstart you kid's journey towards independence - at least, when it comes to getting ready - simple grab a piece of carboard and place the shoes on top of it before going around them with markers.

In the video, the mum used red colour for the right shoe and a bright blue for the left side.

To make sure the piece of cardboard doesn't slide left, right and centre all across your house, you can also tape along the boarders.

Now, whenever you need to go anywhere with your offspring, let them grab their footwear and place it on the appropriate shape.

Fellow parents took it to comments to share their thoughts, with many revealing what tricks have worked for them.

''I draw a small smiley face on the inside of each sole, tell them to match the smileys and voila,'' revealed one mum.

Another chuckled: ''I just let her wear on the wrong feet.''

''I taught mine... We don't step on butterflies. When shoes are on wrong they look like butterflies,'' someone else wrote.
