Ahead of Monday's game between the Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals, ESPN cut to Michelle Beisner-Buck and Griffin standing by the endzone pool.

Holding her mic in one hand and a cocktail in the other, Beusner-Buck said: "When in Jacksonville, we gotta hit the pool right? RG, time for you to make a splash."

He emphatically responded: "Yes, Duuuuuuval," before belly-flopping into the pool.

Beisner-Buck screamed "No, no!" before saying "He really did it!" as he landed in the pool, splashing water over the edge of the glass-sided pool.

Fans too were shocked to see a suited-up Griffin take the plunge.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one such fan said: "Knees hit first. 3/10 flop."

A second replied: "Say goodbye to that suit."

As a third responded: "Cannonball would've been a bigger splash. weird choice face first."

Unfortunately for the home fans, Griffin's stunt was perhaps the peak of their night.

Not only did they lose 34-31 in overtime, but star quarterback Trevor Lawrence also left the game seemingly in considerable pain with an ankle injury.

It was reported after the game by ESPN's Adam Schefter that initial tests appeared to show that he had suffered a sprained ankle.

Lawrence is set to face more tests on Tuesday.

Backup C.J. Beathard closed out the game for Jacksonville going 9 of 10 for 63 yards.

Their next game is on Sunday, December 10 against the Cleveland Browns.
