Lewis played 17 seasons with the Ravens from 1996 to 2012, winning two Super Bowls with the franchise.
He was known for his strong defensive ability as well as the passion he conveyed when on the field.
During his playing days, Lewis would fire the team up and exude his intensity to the stadium with a signature dance titled the "Squirrel" dance.
And on Sunday, the Ravens brought Lewis out prior to the game kicking off as players were being announced and running out of the tunnel.

The CBS Broadcast showed the moment Lewis walked, but when he started his signature move, the camera cut away.
NFL fans flooded social media with reactions to the decision not to show the iconic dance move from the Ravens' legend.
"So CBS isn't going to show the Ray Lewis dance? SMH," this fan said.
"WHAT? They didn't show Ray Lewis come out of the Tunnel w/ his famous dance," another expressed.

"Did Ray Lewis do the whole dance when he came out there? CBS missed it," a third asked.
"That was cool how they had Ray Lewis do his famous dance, I wish the camera didn't cut away before," a fourth stated.
While this fan proclaimed: "CBS missed it because they wanted to show Travis Kelce instead."
However, some fans thought it was "corny" to have Lewis do his dance years after retiring.
"What a loser move to have Ray Lewis come out of the tunnel doing that stupid dance," this fan slammed the decision.
Another expressed: "It's time we admit Ray Lewis dance weak."
