Pat McAfee, 36, and his crew touched down in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this week ahead of Super Bowl LVIII.

In a break from football, they went out on Thursday night to see Bono, 63, and his U2 perform at one of the group's U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere gigs.

And they left the two-hour show with mixed feelings.

On one hand, the sportscasters were in awe of the sophisticated visuals utilized in the one-of-a-kind venue.

"The Sphere is the show," McAfee said.

And his co-stars agreed – before Ty Schmit slammed U2's performance.

"Listen, I don’t want to offend anybody. That’s not what we’re trying to do.

"We’re not trying to offend people and get people upset when we’ve got the Super Bowl in two days.

"[But] I'll be honest. I thought I was a U2 fan going into last night’s show, just because you get swept up in the pomp and circumstance of everything and I thought it was really cool.

"But I realized pretty quickly, I’m not a U2 guy. In fact, I’d go so far as to say U2 sucks."

Schmit said that even ESPN executive Mike Foss, who oversees The Pat McAfee Show and is a lifelong U2 fan, admitted the concert was a "letdown."

McAfee then revealed that the band didn't play its greatest hits.

"The setlist was no songs that we knew — for two hours straight," the ESPN host said.

The ex-NFL punter added he would love to see another artist perform at the Sphere.

"Bingo," Schmit responded. "Let's maybe cut the residency short. Bono, go figure something out."

However, the feel-good crew later agreed that Bono is still "a showman" as he delivered some entertaining moments during the gig.
