Pokémon Go down updates — Hundreds of users report issues with logging into popular phone app

Reports continue to drop

After over 3,200 Pokémon GO users reported issues around 2pm, reports have begun to decrease.

As of 4pm, over 670 users have reported issues with the app.

The majority of users face problems with logging in to the app, while just 17 percent of reports are related to the website.

Community day is over

Today's Pokémon Community Day Classic has just ended as it went from 2pm to 5pm local time.

The three-hour event featured Squirtle as the tiny turtle appeared more frequently in the wild.

Even though the event has ended, players can evolve Wartortle (Squirtle's Evolution) until 7pm to get a Blastoise that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.

Fans that remain unable to log in to the game can hopefully get an opportunity to access the featured attack before time runs out.

How to register for the new app

People can pre-register for Pokémon Sleep now via the Google Play Store and App Store.

If you pre-register then the app will automatically download once it is released.

The sleep app can even record the sounds you make while you sleep, so you can tell if you snore or sleep talk, as well as how much you toss and turn.

New Pokémon Sleep app to encourage rest

Just like the mainline games, this is a collecting game, where you try to catch different types of Pokémon.

Each Pokémon will have various sleep styles, and the app urges you to collect them all.

It is believed that like the teeth-brushing app, Pokémon Smile, Pokémon Sleep will not have in-app purchases.

Instead, it is simply meant to help encourage people to gain better sleep.

More on Pokémon Sleep

Pokémon Sleep will also log how many hours you were asleep for, and will give you more bonuses the better you sleep.

Users will have their own Snorlax, a Pokémon known for taking long naps.

The more and better you sleep, the more your Snorlax will power up, and have a better chance of attracting more and rare Pokémon.
