Shannon Farnon (born November 28, 1941) is a Canadian actress and voice actor who has worked in both the film and television industries. Her most well-known role is that of Wonder Woman in a Hanna-Barbera production, for which she was the first actress to do so. As the daughter of Brian Farnon, a musician and conductor, and Rita Oehmen, a singer and actor, she was raised in the entertainment industry. She is the sister of Charmian Carr and Darleen Carr and the niece of Brian Farnon. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and reared there. Farnon attended theatrical art studies in Toronto as a youngster, and he moved on to work on commercials in the following years after that. The actress has appeared in films, television shows, advertisements, and cartoons, but her first appearance was in the 1965 film Burke’s Law, in which she had an uncredited role. She went on to feature in supporting parts in a number of other television programmes, but she was most well-known for her work in commercial voice-overs, which she did for many years. While appearing as a mother in a live-action ad for Flintstone vitamins in 1973, she was contacted by voice director Wally Burr, who invited her to audition for the character that would become her most well-known, Wonder Woman in the Super Friends series. She was cast in the role. From 1973 through 1983, the voice actress performed the Amazonian superheroine in the television series Super Friends, which included episodes such as Challenge of the Super Friends, The All-New Super Friends Hour, The World’s Greatest Super Friends, and the resurrection of Super Friends, among other things. Farnon did voice a number of secondary characters, including Lois Lane and Hawkgirl on portions of the episodes, and she also appeared in the film Valley of the Dinosaurs in 1974 as Kim Butler, but she is most known for providing the voice of Wonder Woman in the film. However, in 1984, her significant part was recast in Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show, in which the role was first played by Constance Caufield and then subsequently by B.J. Ward, and the role was then reprised by Constance Caufield. A number of times, this case has been cited as an example of unfairness in the television and animation industries. In one episode of Superman, Mary McDonald-Lewis provided the voice of the Amazonian superheroine. Shannon Farnon voiced Wonder Woman in a number of Cartoon Network commercials and went on to star in a number of films and television programmes, although her acting appearances have become more scarce since 200In addition to Betty Crocker, Nivea, Kodak, National World War II Memorial, Oil of Olay, Scotchgard, and Cartoon Network parodies of The Super Friends, she has also voiced many more advertisements for other brands. She was married to William Wells from 1966 until 1975, and the couple had twin children, Jeremy and Julie, who were born in 197Jeremy perished in a skiing accident while he was just 24 years old.
