A COUPLE were left stunned when they discovered two treasure troves stashed in their basement as they renovated their home.
After living in the 1940s house in Cleveland for a few years, the pair decided to revamp the cellar - and got more than they bargained for.

As DIY enthusiast and Imgur user Branik12 ripped out parts of the basement's dusty ceiling, something concealed in one of the wooden panels caught his eye.
Carefully tucked away was an unassuming little green and grey suitcase.
Instead of immediately prizing the holder open, he decided to document the discovery on Imgur.
He wrote: "I took the box outside and gathered the wife. It has something inside, but not heavy like coins or gold bars. Might get lucky though. Could be old sports cards."
To the couple's surprise, as they opened the box they were faced with three packages wrapped in wax paper, with an old copy on the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper, dated March 25, 1951, lining the case.
But they were left truly open-mouthed when they realized the packages were stuffed with notes - totaling an eye-watering $23,000 (£17,000).

"We are freaking out at this point. This doesn't happen to us," he wrote.
"The second package didn't have any twenties. It was all fifties! What is going on here? This is out of control!
"Some of the bills were rarer than others. Some brown notes, a gold certificate and some star notes nearly uncirculated. All bills were from 1928-1934."
In a further twist, the Reddit user then found a SECOND case identical to the first - again rammed full of dollar bills.
Overwhelmed by their unbelievable discovery, the couple counted up their new-found wealth and realized they had a whopping total of $45,000 (£33,000).
"This was a wild ride for us and I hope you all enjoyed it too," he wrote.
"We are boring people and have been dumping our extra money to pay off our mortgage and that is where this money will go too."
But others haven't been as lucky in their finds, with a group of horrified housemates making a spine-chilling discovery in the attic that had lain untouched for decades.
The curious tenants went to explore after a previous resident walking past the house last week told them there was “something up in the roof”.
A TikTok video shows what they found in the loft - a creepy "stalker shrine" dedicated to an athletic young man - including, most disturbingly - around 15 resealable bags containing hair, cigarettes, used plasters and unknown liquids.
