A source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that her son Kevin Jr, 23, does not know where she is.
The insider added that he can only get calls from his mom and cannot call her.
Wendy's sister Wanda and niece Alex Finnie broke their silence on her "heartbreaking" struggles on Wednesday.
They told People a court-appointed legal guardian is the only person who has total access to her.

They also said they cannot call her themselves, but she can call them.
Her guardian is the only one who can determine when Wendy leaves the facility, according to the outlet.
"The people who love her cannot see her,” Wanda, 65, said.
“I think the big [question] is: How the hell did we get here?”

“We've all seen the images over the last few months — and, really, few years - of what has seemed like a spiral for my aunt,” Wendy's niece Alex added.
"It was shocking and heartbreaking to see her in this state.”
Alex also appears in the new Lifetime documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams?, which will premiere on February 24.
Wendy left her talk show during the 12th season in July 2021 amid ongoing health and legal battles.
She has been battling alcohol addiction and the autoimmune disorder, Graves’ disease.
In a since-deleted trailer from the two-part documentary, Wendy sobbed as she struggled with both mental and physical illness in light of the end of her talk show series.
"Since I was six years old, all I wanted was to be famous," Wendy told cameras, as footage ran showing the radio host at the peak of her career.
Wanda told People, "How did she go from this aunt or sister that we love and is healthy one minute to this person who’s in and out of the hospital?
"How is that system better than the system the family could put in place? This system is broken.”
Her brother Tommy added that Wendy's husband Kevin fathering a child with another woman "put her in a dark place."
The documentary teased exclusive quotes from the talk show host's son, Kevin, who claimed that his mom has "done a really good job at making it seem like everything's OK."
He confessed, "But in reality, there's something wrong going on."
WENDY'S STRUGGLES
Footage from the documentary showed Wendy in the backseat of a black vehicle, her face looking more gaunt than ever before.
A producer asked, "Have you seen a neurologist?" to which the star replied, "To see if I'm crazy? Mhm."
The former radio host was then seen struggling while on set, needing assistance to even stand on her own.
One of Wendy's male family members spoke up, saying, "She was put in front of a judge and given a guardian.
"That was when they took her away from us."
HEARTBREAKING TURN
Back in a confessional, the TV personality sent fans a message of warning.
"I have no money," she revealed.
"And let me tell you something, if it happens to me, it can happen to you."
Wendy then broke down in tears on camera, clutching a pillow tight to her chest.
In another devastating scene, one of the host's male family members asked if she had drunk an entire bottle of vodka "today."
The BET star snapped at the man to "keep the bottle there," despite her frail condition while lying in bed.
In another scene, Wendy admitted she "didn't know" where she was, although she was driving around in Manhattan - her home for years.
The TV star's family claimed she seemed to be "losing memory."
Executive producer Mark Ford said of filming the documentary, “We asked ourselves almost every day, ‘Is this helping Wendy or is this hurting her?’
"And in the end we felt like it was helping her. This is about the guardianship system and how it can be improved.”
